DLPOA Committees

Committees:

Members are urged to volunteer on one of these committees. This is YOUR beach. Email info@dlpoa.org  if you are interested or contact the particular committee chair directly.

1. Beach Committee: works with the beach manager and is responsible for repairs and maintenance of the beach property, two people minimum. Chair: Greg Henderson
2. Election Committee: oversees the yearly balloting process, two people minimum. Chair - open positions
3. Membership Committee: oversees the application for membership process and property eligibility, two people minimum. Chair - Barbara Lewis (outgoing), Andrea Vaughn (incoming Chair)
4. Budget Committee: oversees the seasonal budget as well as long range planning. Chair - Charley Tiff - one open position.
5. Annual Picnic Committee: oversees the annual July 4th association picnic, two people assigned. Chair - Ed Meyer.
6. Social Events Committee: is responsible for a fixed number of events throughout the season, two people assigned. Chair - Amanda Bellows. Michele Anderson and Barb Glasner committee members.
7. Executive Committee: An Executive Committee provides the only effective means to respond to rapidly developing situations occurring between regular board meetings.  This is an ongoing committee that is made up of the current and past officers.  Unlike all the other committees that are advisory in nature, this committee is a committee of the board which acts with the authority of the board.  All actions by this committee will be done in communication with the board of directors. 8. Beach Manager Search Team: This committee should include the president, vice president, all three beach committee chairs, and at least one other board member. Chair - Cheri Morillas - one open position.
9. Firewise Committee: This committee participates in the overall Truckee area Firewise efforts. Chair - James Mann - one open position.
