History of the DLPOA

The DLPOA is an 800 maximum member organization that operates between Memorial Day weekend and the first week of October. We have a limited staff and are primarily run by a host of volunteers.

History of the DLPOA: We are a nonprofit organization established June 23, 1957 and incorporated on December 5, 1957.

This Association, originally established June 23, 1957 and incorporated as a California nonprofit corporation on December 5, 1957, shall be known as the Donner Lake Property Owners Association (hereinafter “Association”). The Association’s principal office will be located at such place in California, as the Board of Directors of the Association (hereinafter “the Board”) may from time to time designate by resolution. The Association is subject to the California Nonprofit Mutual Benefit Corporation Law (California Corporations Code Sections 7110-8910) (the “Law”).

Purpose of the DLPOA: The Association was formed for the purposes set forth in the Association’s Articles of Incorporation and, in the context of such purposes, exists: 1) To maintain or improve the recreational facilities of Association properties consistent with environmental preservation of such properties and Donner Lake; 2) To promote good fellowship, neighborliness, living by the Golden Rule on behalf of all of the Association; and 3) To keep members informed of the various actions, meetings, plans, and accomplishments of the Association.
